Black-I Supports DARPA HACMS Program with Ground Robots

Black-I Robotics is supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) - Information Innovation Office (I2O) DARPA-BAA-12-21 High-Assurance Cyber Military Systems (HACMS) program with unmanned ground vehicles based on its LandShark chassis with special payloads including advanced cruise control and turret bases payloads.  The program had its formal kick-off meeting in August 2012.

LandShark Chassis, Software and Modular Options

  • Black-I provides unmanned ground vehicle hardware to proposers based on its latest LandShark mid-sized UGV platform.  A link to it can be found here.
  • Software source code will be made available by Black-I Robotics to proposal winners. A detailed system overview can be found at this link.
  • Various Payload Modules and Support will be offered to proposers specific to this program. 
  • Progam leads include such notables as Standford Research Institute, Hughes Research Laboratories and major universities including but not limited to MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Yale, Princeton, U. of Pennsylvania, U. of Minnesota, UCLA and others.
